Report to the local Duty Manager Line Maintenance.</p><h2><b>What you\'ll do</b></h2><p><em>As noted above, this list is intended to reflect the current job but there may be additional essential functions (and certainly non-essential job functions) that are not referenced. Management will modify the job or require other tasks be performed whenever it is deemed appropriate to do so, observing, of course, any legal obligations including any collective bargaining obligations.</em></p><ul><li>To lead, direct and support a group of Maintenance Technicians and act as duty senior Maintenance representative in the absence of Supervision.</li><li>To plan and manage work assignments for staff under their control in an efficient, timely and financially prudent manner and administer the operation to ensure the smooth running of the daily workload.</li><li>To oversee and where necessary assist with line maintenance and troubleshooting on American aircraft types B777 and B787.</li><li>To comply with safety directives & application of safe work methods.</li><li>To accomplish checks/remedial work and all associated paperwork in a timely fashion.</li><li>Carries out all reasonable instructions from management.</li><li>To communicate effectively, professionally and appropriately with all relevant persons in a timely manner, regarding activities under their control.</li><li>To identify and communicate the training requirements of team members within their work family.</li><li>To ensure rules and regulations of FAA and other agencies and authorities are complied with.</li><li>To be willing to carry out field trips or other short-term assignments.</li><li>To provide feedback on a regular basis including coaching & counseling</li></ul><h2><b>All you\'ll need for success</b></h2><p><u><strong>Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience</strong></u></p><ul><li>Read, write and speak both English and Native Language</li><li>Must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges</li><li>Possess an FAA A&P Technicians License</li><li>Be able to exercise authority while at the same time be able to empower the direct reports for the general functionality of the department</li><li>Qualifications & experience on Boeing 777 and 787- must obtain</li><li>Valid driving license</li><li>A willingness to work in a shift environment, including weekends, bank and public holidays<br>Valid passport</li></ul><p><u><strong>Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience</strong></u></p><ul><li>Previous experience as a Lead/Crew Chief AMT</li></ul><p><u><strong>Skills, Licenses & Certifications</strong></u></p><ul><li>Superior technical, analytical and troubleshooting skills</li><li>Proactive approach to all assigned and undertaken work</li><li>Able to work under pressure with minimum/no supervision</li><li>Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload</li><li>Diplomacy and ability to maintain a calm demeanor in a stressful environment</li><li>Be a motivated and proactive leader who can function with little direction from above<br></li></ul><h2><b>Feel free to be yourself at American</b></h2><p>From the team members we hire to the customers we serve, inclusion and diversity are the foundation of the dynamic workforce at American Airlines.
