About the role:

As a Digital Product Designer consultant at YLD, you'll collaborate with client teams to design and deliver innovative digital products. We're looking for someone curious, passionate, and driven — a designer who thrives on understanding users, solving complex problems, and turning insights into elegant, scalable solutions. You should have experience crafting intuitive interfaces, building cohesive design systems, and communicating ideas clearly across disciplines.


About You: We know that everyone can't be good at everything, but we expect that you have a solid background in Digital Product Design, with a strong focus on Design System and that you are comfortably familiar with a combination of specialisms.
Technical competencies:
  • Experience in UX Design, Product Strategy, UI / Interaction Design
  • Experience with animation and incorporating it into UI is very much welcomed
  • Experience working with, or good knowledge of implementing web accessibility, would also be a big bonus
  • Coding skills / ability would be a benefit, but is in no way essential
  • Experience working with Zeroheight and Storybook very welcome
  • Significant experience in Design Systems and UI design
  • Are confident with creating UI components independently to craft a reusable design systems

Non-technical competencies:

  • You are happy to collaborate with both more senior and junior people to establish a design language
  • Enjoy transforming complex concepts into simple and easy-to-use experiences
  • Happily participate in all phases of product design: Research, Sketching, Wireframing, UI Design, Prototyping, User Testing
  • Love working with other experienced designers and learning from them as well as sharing your own knowledge
  • Love working alongside front-end developers and being a part of a cross-functional team
  • Believe that product, design and engineering are closely connected and work best when collaborating together
  • Care about accessibility and creating products that are inclusive to all people
  • Are very hands-on
  • Feel comfortable with moving at a fast pace with your team
  • Believe that learning and self-development never end
  • Want to bring your drive, passion and experience to our work and processes
  • Are comfortable working either in a remote environment, or surrounded by your colleagues in the office.

What we'd like to see from you:

  • A portfolio (pdf, presentation or website) demonstrating critical thinking, creativity and visual design
  • CV outlining any professional experience and creative training/education, incl. any kind of official UX / UI training that you may have
  • All written documents must be sent in English
