We are a much loved award winning dog friendly café situated on the busy Kings Road, Chelsea. We are looking for an experienced creative café cook to join our team part-time and assist in creating sophisticated classic café meals as well as simple human grade dog treats. The ideal candidate should have a real passion for creating nutritious, exciting meals for both people and dogs, and have an innovative mind.


Responsibilities would include the following:

  • Prepping and cooking various ingredients such as meats and vegetables
  • Cooking dishes and creating seasonal menu
  • Working as part of a team and collaborating with the cooks to cook meals and create a fluid workflow
  • Cleaning up the kitchen space after cooking each meal and ensuring the prep area and kitchen is cleaned and sanitised at the end of the shift
  • Maintaining a pantry stock record regularly
  • Ordering and restocking the pantry and fridge as necessary
  • Keeping up high standards of food hygiene and keeping record of this
  • Properly storing food items at appropriate temperatures
  • Maintain communication with staff working on the café floor to ensure quality and customer satisfaction

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a café or restaurant setting
  • Strong culinary skills with a focus on meal preparation and presentation
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
  • Background in kitchen operations and teamwork
  • Previous serving experience is a plus, enhancing customer service skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards


Working hours

  • Monday-Sunday
  • 3-4 days a week
