To be part of the School Friend Clubs family you will need: 

Essential qualities: 

Experience working with 4-11 year olds 

Experience of administration 

Understanding the varied needs of children and their families 

Understanding the issues involved in the delivery or quality childcare 

Understanding the issues of equal opportunities 

Provide and facilitate safe and creative play 

Good communication skills 

Ability to work as a team member and demonstrate leadership skills 

Ability to work on own initiative 

Sound judgement and common sense 

Desirable qualities: 

Appropriate Level 2 qualification 

Experience of working within a play-based setting 

Experience of budgeting 

Competent in using IT to support play and club administration 

Appropriate child protection training 

Current 12 hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate 

Food Hygiene Certificate 

An understanding of Prevent Duty and Certification 

Our club staff are DBS checked and reference checked as part of our Safer Recruitment Policy. We also offer additional benefits including: 

Subsidised Childcare – if your child attends a School Friend Clubs venue, Staff training & development, Free uniform, Employee Assistance Program – Legal, Counselling, Debt Management Workplace Pension Scheme – Subject to eligibility status 

Contracted hours for this role at Julian's Primary School are 22.5 hrs, per week during Term Time only. Hourly rate includes holiday pay, paid over 12 months.

Standard club hours are 7.30 - 9.00 for Breakfast Club & 15.00 - 18.00 for After School Club Monday-Friday, during School Term Time. 

Standard start and finish times are subject to current Covid and school guidelines & will be discussed at interview. Please only apply if you can commit to working Monday to Friday.
