Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Entry-Level Audio Transcription Clerk to join our remote team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with no prior transcription experience who possess strong listening skills and a keen eye for accuracy. As an Audio Transcription Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately converting spoken audio into written text, playing a crucial role in delivering high-quality linguistic services to our global clients. This position offers flexibility and is 100% remote.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transcribe audio recordings of various lengths and complexities into accurate written text, ensuring proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Review and edit self-transcribed work to guarantee precision and adherence to specific style guides and client requirements.
  • Manage transcription workload effectively to meet established deadlines and turnaround times.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and security of all audio files and transcribed content.
  • Utilize transcription software and tools efficiently to enhance productivity and accuracy.
  • Communicate any challenges or technical issues encountered during transcription to the team lead.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional listening skills and the ability to discern speech in varying audio qualities.
  • Strong command of the German language, both written and verbal, with excellent grammar and spelling.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with standard word processing software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Google Docs).
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
