Summary

The purpose of this role is to provide and develop long term strategic directions, facilitate and improve the quality process of clinical services in HMC, ensuring a smooth workflow across the facility and corporate services as applicable. Oversee the development of appropriate systems and processes to achieve the defined service levels, costs and operational integrity of clinical service and effectiveness to support HMC’s strategic initiatives. Monitor clinical services with clinical programs compliance with all applicable local and international regulatory and accrediting agencies.

Education/Qualifications Required:

Qualification Source from: North America, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand.  

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare related field OR
  2. Bachelor’s Degree in Non-Healthcare related field Plus Master’s Degree in Healthcare related field

Experience Post-Qualifications:

  • Minimum Ten (10) years clinical experience out of which 4 years in Managerial capacity for Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare related field
  • or 1Minimum Twelve (12) years clinical experience out of which 4 years in Managerial capacity for Bachelor’s Degree plus Master’s in healthcare related field

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Plans, direct, and coordinate patient care activities to maintain standards of patient care and advise medical staff in matters related to clinical services, facility management or corporate services as applicable.
  • Directs the operations, programs, and activities in clinical area and facilitates or chronologically designs the smooth flow of clinical services across the facility.
  • Plans and organizes activities related to specified clinical services to ensure patient needs are met in accordance with professional standards of medical and nursing care and facility administrative procedures.
  • Identifies and implements planned improvements in corporate services processes to enhance patient experience as applicable.
  • Ensure optimal resource utilization while maintaining patient care standards.
  • Lead procedural implementations and make appropriate suggestions and recommendations for improving techniques, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitors and controls department costs to maintain expenditures within allocations.
  • Engages in studies and investigations related to improving delivery of services.
  • Involves in recruitment, hiring and training of assign clinical services staff
  • Maintain awareness of advances in clinical services, computerized diagnostic and treatment equipment, data processing technology, government regulations, health insurance changes and any other relevant developments.
  • Review and analyse clinical activities and data to aid, planning, costing and risk management and to improve service utilization
  • Participate and provide leadership during meetings and other committees related to clinical practices
  • Analyse the impact of incorporating technological advancements and trends into the clinical service processes of the facility and make recommendations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
