We are offering an exciting opportunity for an After School Teen Program Director at our following clubhouses:• Pinkerton Clubhouse - Harlem, NYThis is a full-time position working 35 hours a week Monday through Friday in the afternoons and evenings.The After School Teen Program Director will be responsible for employee leadership and professional development, teen program development and implementation, teen membership recruitment and registration, and comprehensive program reporting on teen program services. In addition, ensuring that youth development principles are incorporated into all club and remote program activities.After School Teen Program Director Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Teach and lead Teen Campus staff and volunteers in all phases of their work.• Plan for and conduct staff meetings on a regularly scheduled basis.• Increase visibility of the Madison brand in the club community.• Recruitment and registration of teen members for all programs.• Provide leadership to ensure a safe and positive environment for teens.• Provide oversight of the development, planning, and implementation of age appropriate targeted programs & special events.• Execute proper record keeping and reporting.• Serve as a role model through professional behavior.• Promote positive interactions with members in accordance with child safety guidelines.• Maintain contact with parents/guardians to ensure effectiveness of program via parent calls/meetings, school outreach etc.• Ensure that the five (5) key elements for positive youth development are part of the daily clubhouse environment.After School Teen Program Director Performance Expectations:• Create and maintain a safe clubhouse environment for all members, staff and guests. Safety is our priority.• Operate the clubhouse within NYC DOH Covid-19 safety guidelines and protocols.• Recruitment and registration of Intermediate & Senior members to clubhouse capacity goal.• Maintain daily attendance consistent w/ clubhouse capacity goal.• Maintain and operate the clubhouse according to the approved Operations Manual procedures.• Maintain and operate the clubhouse according to the approved Policy Handbook.• Perform organizational behavior consistent with satisfactory standards.After School Teen Program Director Accountability Metrics:• Regular club walk-throughs; Leadership By Walking Around (LBWA).• Daily reporting of adherence to the Covid-19 safety guidelines & protocols.• Daily reporting of members registered and daily attendance.• Weekly Schedule with programs, activities, special events, staff and community meetings.• Weekly meetings w/ Clubhouse Director to review overall clubhouse progress and accomplishments.After School Teen Program Director Required Skills/Knowledge:• A four-year degree from a state-accredited university/college in related field.• Ability to communicate effectively with young people from diverse backgrounds, ages 13-18.• Ability to coach staff team on professional development toward excellence.• Strong written and verbal communication skills.• Ability to facilitate outcome driven meetings.• As a condition of employment, employees must have proof that they are fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
