<h2>Job Description</h2><div><div><p><strong>Accommodation Support Worker</strong></p><p><strong>Greater Manchester</strong></p><p><strong>Temporary - approx 3 months</strong></p><p><strong>Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm</strong></p><p><strong>£13.91 per hour + holiday pay </strong></p><p><strong>Our client</strong></p><p>Our client delivers a wide range of support and housing services for young people and adults at risk of homelessness. They specialise in the provision of services that; prevent homelessness, increase the resilience of those they work with and energise opportunities for employment, education, training and volunteering in the communities they work within.</p><p><strong>The role</strong></p><ul><li>As an Accommodation Support Worker, you will ensure the safety and well being of clients in the service at all times possible including using Safeguarding and emergency alert procedures as applicable.</li><li>You will carry a caseload of clients for whom you will be the named key worker, and you will also take joint responsibility with your team members for the well being and day to day support of all clients in the services.</li><li>You will lead on risk and needs assessment and support planning for your key clients and contribute to ongoing needs and risk assessment of other clients in the service.</li><li>You will be responsible for cleaning tasks and domesticated duties within the hostel accommodation.</li><li>You will develop and implement SMART outcomes-based support plans for your key clients.</li><li>You will deliver one-to one and group support opportunities within their accommodation and in the local community aimed at increasing resilience in the clients we work with.</li><li>You will proactively work in partnership with multiple agencies including statutory teams, to support the well-being of clients.</li><li>You will be responsible for the health and safety responsibilities of the building and ensuring regular checks are completed.</li><li>You will support all clients to participate in Education, Training, Employment and Volunteering opportunities as appropriate to the development of their skills, assets and aspirations.</li></ul><p><strong>The candidate</strong></p><ul><li>Experience of working with those experiencing homelessness and an understanding of the needs of people who have experienced homelessness, poor mental health, substance misuse.</li><li>Experience of holding a caseload, conducting support plans, risk assessments and needs assessments.</li><li>Effective collaborative working.</li><li>Knowledge of Health and Safety and a clear understanding of Safeguarding requirements and procedures.</li><li>High level understanding of professional boundaries and ability to maintain boundaries.</li><li>The ability to use IT systems including Microsoft Office and databases and good literacy and numeracy skills.</li><li>An Enhanced DBS is required for the role.</li></ul><p>For more information or to be considered for the role of Accommodation Support Worker, please call <strong>.</strong></p><p>Morgan Hunt is a multi-award-winning recruitment Business for interim, contract and temporary recruitment and acts as an Employment Agency in relation to temporary vacancies.
